Did you know that hearing God whenever He speaks is every believer’s privilege! I want to begin this article by revealing the answer as to how every believer can better hear the voice of the living God. You must hear His written Word, and then hear his servants, the prophets, with all your heart. Then you are more prepared to hear the voice of His wonderful Holy Spirit personally.

Have you ever wondered why some people claim to hear God’s voice more clearly and more often than others? Have you ever personally desired to discern God’s voice more clearly? If so, you are not alone. Every believer should greatly long to know the voice of the Lord!

As children of God, we have been given a great privilege! We have the privilege of being in a genuine relationship with the Maker of the universe; a loving and caring relationship. Not just as servants but as sons and daughters. Wow! What a concept. Almighty God wants to speak to us as a good earthly Father wants to speak to his children. Certainly, I do understand how this can seem unrealistic until you experience authentic interaction with God. The goal of this article is to further show you the process of how to have genuine interaction with God starting today.

Let me emphasize a biblical truth as it relates to obtaining and maintaining the attention of Almighty God. Please understand that it is through the many trials and storms in my life that I am qualified to communicate such an important truth. Those who know me recognize and appreciate my being one of God’s many close friends. What an honor and yet undeserving right this is. Rest assured however, that although I am thankful to be one with whom the Lord speaks to often, I do not stop there. One of my deepest desires includes letting Christians, young and old, know the simple reality that…”you too can walk with God!” Let me explain how.

Luke 8:10 “And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.” …17 “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.”

Friends, this is one of the most informative passages in the entire Bible. It tells us that God does not intend to keep secrets from us. To you, child of God, it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom (verse 10). Verse 17 starts off by telling us that NOTHING is secret. God’s desire is for you to know Him. This is the very reason He has given us His Holy Spirit and the written word of God. It is that we might know Him and what He has given to us. (1Corinthians 2:12, “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”)

Look again at Luke Chapter 8, Verse 18. 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. The issue is not will you hear or should you hear, but rather HOW ARE YOU HEARING? This is our key to walking with God. Jesus said it this way. Take heed “How” you hear: for whosoever has, to him shall be given…Have what you ask? The answer? Whosoever has ears to hear i.e., a mind to hear and pay attention to what God is saying! It’s that simple. Hearing God starts with our having an insatiable desire to WANT to hear from Him!

Jesus also said that my sheep know my voice and the voice of a stranger they will not follow (St. John 10:5). Knowing His voice begins with a great desire to know Him. I don’t know very many people who will spend a lot of their time talking to people who are going to ignore what they say. Certainly, we get this trait from our creator.

So, in order to interact more with the Lord, and to keep in step with His Spirit daily, you must increase your willingness to hear His voice in the Word and the word of his servants, the prophets.

May your life be increased today as you pay more attention to how you hear His Word and His Servants. Then friends, you will begin to hear from the Spirit of the living God in a more personal way. Take heed how you hear even this simple message!

God Bless!

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://victoriouslifechurch.org/articles/2008/1/22/lord-why-so-few-miracles-in-america.html"><rss:title>"Lord, Why So Few Miracles in America?"</rss:title><rss:link>http://victoriouslifechurch.org/articles/2008/1/22/lord-why-so-few-miracles-in-america.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

By Pastor Terry Wayne Millender

Miracle---An event in the external world brought about by the immediate agency or the simple volition of God, operating without the use of means capable of being discerned by the senses, and designed to authenticate the divine commission of a religious teacher and the truth of his message (Joh 2:18; Mat 12:38).

It is an occurrence at once above nature and above man. It shows the intervention of a power that is not limited by the laws either of matter or of mind, a power interrupting the fixed laws which govern their movements, a supernatural power.

As one who is in continual pursuit of the truth of God and the understanding of His ways, I find myself asking the Lord why there are so few miracles here in America. Now as you read the definition of a miracle as I have provided, you will notice that an authentic miracle shows the intervention of a power that is not limited by the laws either of matter or of mind. It is in a sense a “superseding” of natural laws.

I believe in miracles. I believe in God. In fact, the key to my life has been a series of personal interventions by the God of heaven here in the earth realm at my request or the request of those praying for me. All one has to do is study the Bible at any length and you will note that the God of heaven delights in consistent interaction in the kingdom of men.

From the beginning of time it was God’s desire to interact with men here on the earth. Although He wanted to be Israel’s king, they rejected Him and sought for a man so they could be like other nations, hence, King Saul was given to them. Now think with me for a moment. If God Almighty were to be their king, that must have called for frequent intervention with man.

Let me conclude this brief nugget by giving you something to think about. Would it surprise you that the God who you expect to see in heaven could or would supersede natural laws here on earth in order to show Himself to His people? (Psalms 77:14) "You are the God who performs miracles. You have made your strength known among the nations."

One thing that the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ wants you to know today is that He will not be kept out of the affairs of man. Listen to the anger of God toward an unrighteous king who didn’t understand this truth…

(Daniel 4:25) "You will be forced away from people and live with the wild animals. You will eat grass like cattle. The dew from the sky will make you wet. And seven time periods will pass until you realize that the Most High has power over human kingdoms and that he gives them to whomever he wishes."

Another translations says it this way (Daniel 4:25) “…you will learn that the High God rules over human kingdoms and that he arranges all kingdom affairs."

Rejoice in the truth today that Almighty God is willing to get involved in your affairs. Don’t limit a miracle to your physical body or to finances or to any one area of life. Sometimes you can just wake up with a different mindset about some aspect of your life. If left to yourself, you might die in that same old state, but if you look to the God of miracles, perhaps He will help you as only He can! Here is a part of the answer as to why there are so few miracles here in America. Pride, arrogance and the thievery of God’s glory! America is full of thieves in the pulpit. Not thieves who take money but thieves who take credit for that God alone can do. Another reason is that there is a lack of desperation for God’s help. People in other nations have fewer options than we do here in America. So, the pull or desperate draw on God’s power through faith is weakened because many people have plan B, C, and D to fall back on.

Every miracle is done the same way. It is an act of God’s power in order to demonstrate His mercy. You can never earn a miracle, but you can position yourself to receive one. The final passage in the article explains how a miracle occurs and once we understand this, we will see the power of the living God displayed among us more than we have ever imagined. After Peter and John ministered healing to a crippled man they said…

Act 3:11-13 “And as he held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this human? or why fasten ye your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Servant Jesus; whom ye delivered up…"

Act 3:16 "...and by faith in his name hath his name made this man strong, whom ye behold and know: yea, the faith which is through him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all."

So we see miracles will occur when:

We know that it is not because of our Power or Holiness that they take place but out of His mercy.

We recognize the power and authority of His name.

We choose to put faith in His name and His name alone--Of course I mean that Wonderful Name of Jesus!

My prayer is that the Lord of Glory blesses and keeps you!

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://victoriouslifechurch.org/articles/2008/1/22/victorious-living.html"><rss:title>Victorious Living</rss:title><rss:link>http://victoriouslifechurch.org/articles/2008/1/22/victorious-living.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

By Rev. Jackie Jackson

I've learned a big lesson in life... You don't have to become a victim
of circumstance, or a product of what you've been through. You can either
take the posture of a victor or a victim. The choice is yours! We are given
that opportunity each time something negative happens. You can either see
yourself as the winner or the one being constantly attacked. Even in a
football game you have an offense and a defense. I'd rather be on the
offense because the offensive position is one of pursuit, and a relentless
passion to reach the goal (whatever and wherever it may be), and the
boldness to do so. The defensive position is one that is always in protection
mode and has the tough job of stopping the pursuer. The defensive team is
usually worn out, the most beat up and the most tired. Make it up in your mind
that you cannot be stopped, and you will be a force in the earth.

Have you ever wondered what pain looks like? Shame? Depression?
Sometimes all we need to do is take a look in the mirror. What you may see is an image
that has been marred by life's challenges. As a matter of fact, you don't
even recognize the real you any longer because you've been so
disfigured.

The good news is, you don't have to allow your past situations to work
against you. Don't let the residue of the past leave an indelible mark
on you.

You are a winner and God has great things for you... so dust off the
pain, shake off the shame, and depress the depression. There is a whole new
you that the world has yet to see. "Arise form the depression and
prostration in which circumstances have kept you, shine, be radiant for thy light has
come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you." Isaiah 60:1-2 (AMP)

Unleash the new you!

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
